Condition: Very good condition. The sheet is foxed on all sides. Along the edges of the sheet bumped and isolated tears. The corners of the sheet are slightly bumped and creased. Along the edges slightly browned. Short tear at top centre of margin. Minimal margin tear at upper left. Two of the same in the lower center. Below left and on the sheet margin left pale liquid spot. Slight crease or rubbing traces left centered.
Description: The inscription plate reads: "In memory of the Secular Celebration of the University of Georgia Augusta in Göttingen, donated in 1734. No occupation will be more charming to me than the cultivation of beloved wisdom [...]". Names engraved on the left of the urns with the dates "1737-1787" and "+1837", the names of the "Göttingen Seven" are missing. In the depiction female allegories, Clio, Fama and Göttinga.
