A collection of 29 Magic Lantern slides, a Victorian kaleidoscope and an optical toy. The slides were manufactured by Ernst Planck and Indcol and are from the late 19th century. These hand painted slides feature fairytales, circus and folklore scenes. Each slide has four painted pictures.
The slides are composed of two sheets of glass, one bearing the image and the other a cover which protects the image. Most of the slides are in very good condition, only a couple of them have imperfections and small scratches.
