these designs were produced for 'Die schöne Helena' based on Offenbach at the Adelphi Theatre, London, 1932.

The artist was the set designer for Max Reinhardt, at the Deutsches Theatre, Berlin until the 1920s. He later worked in London, designing sets for figures including Noel Coward and Richard Rogers.
