Ersari Chuval
South Turkestan, c. 115 x 150 cm, first half of the 19th century, this early, archaic 9-gul chuval with open surface from an Ersari group displays large guls in convex arrangement, as is the case only with very old pieces, large kotshanak border and minimalistically executed elem with tree motifs; kilim at both ends no longer preserved, newly overcast all around, partially low pile, a collector’s piece with very rare gul design.
