Erwin Olaf, actually Erwin Olaf Springveld, born July 2, 1959 in Hilversum, Dutch photographer.
Olaf has exhibited his work in various international galleries, for example in Berlin, New York City, Paris and Madrid. He is also represented with exhibitions in many art museums worldwide, for example in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, in the Foto. Museum Provincie Antwerp, in the Groninger Museum, in the Arts Statements Gallery in Hong Kong and in the Fotomuseum The Hague.
In 2004 Olaf was elected to the De Grootste Nederlander list. On October 31, 2011, he received the Johannes Vermeerprijs and he designed the Dutch euro coins with the head image of King Willem-Alexander, which have been issued since 2014. Erwin Olaf lives and works in Amsterdam.
