Oil on canvas which is unlined with an artists’ supplier stamp for Reeves and Son on the reverse. The paint layer is in a good, stable condition overall. There are a few small paint losses. The painting has a thin varnish layer which is matte but even. A slight opaque bloom is starting to form across the surface which could be removed with a light clean. There are some pale marks across the painting which appear to be caused by an attempt to clean the work, resulting in disruption of the dirt layer.
