Euan Myles

Dog Number 4 is a portrait of a champion racing dog in Nottingham.

Born and raised in Nottingham, Euan’s love of photography started when his mum, in an attempt to distract him from fishing the banks of the River Trent, bought him a second-hand Yashica Twin Lens Reflex camera at a local market.

Euan then spent his days cycling across Nottinghamshire, photographing the countryside in an attempt to emulate his two photographic heroes Bill Brandt and Fay Godwin.

He left school at 16, cutting his teeth on a Youth Training Scheme in Nottingham as an assistant. Here he photographed pork pies, net curtains and Raleigh bikes - all products that were in abundance in Nottingham.

He later returned to formal training with a place at Newcastle Art College.

Euan Myles is a graduate of Newcastle Art College. His work has been exhibited throughout the UK and he has worked with some of the biggest brands in the UK and Europe including: BBC, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, NHS, Beefeater Gin, Diageo, Faber & Faber, Scottish Government.
