Eucrite Meteorite NWA 7496 HED achondrite (Eucrite, polymict) Rio de Oro, Western Sahara - (22°56.8687'N, 13°23.1163'W) Found: 2012 This massive end cut meteorite weighs an astounding 592.7 grams and is a contrast in surfaces with a fabulous dark brown fusion crust covering the rounded "end" side of this rocky mass and a "saw cut" window face revealing beautiful clasts of various colors. The interior of this Eucrite is highly aesthetic with a palette of greenish-gray punctuated by rounded blebs of dark gray and rusty brown of various sizes. Found in 2012, this exceptional example of the NWA 7496 HED achondrite is simply incredible. Overall Measurements: 3.81 x 2.56 x 2.12 inches (9.67 x 6.51 x 5.38 cm), weighs 592.7 grams [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
