Originally from Virginia, Langford settled in Roanoke Rapids, NC. He studied at the Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota, FL and at UNC - Chapel Hill. A collage very similar to this work, and also dating to 1979, is in The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C.

Good estate condition - not examined out of the frame.
