Vol. 1 of paris has envelop tipped to fly page with a hand written and signed letter by the well-known Irish writer Eugene Sue to Lady Blessington, written in French; very complimentary and friendly in nature. This is translated into English, typed and pasted down on facing fly page. Deckled edges, top gilt ruled edge. Vol. 1 of Wandering Jew has detached contents page. Otherwise a fine set in very good condition.
