The pupil of Louis Buhot here stages a Woman looking at the palm. The face is particularly expressive and the drape is finely represented. The attributes (wings, palm, parchment) are the symbols of honor and work. Marble plinth. Height 48. 5 cm; Weight about 6 kg. Fin slightly twisted, small crack in the base.
