Eva Diez - A mulher com a libélula

"A mulher com a libélula" is, like most of my sculptures, made of paper clay, a clay enriched with cellulose. The whole was then painted with acrylic paint and then varnished. The sculpture comes with a certificate of authenticity and is only intended for inside use. I, Eva Diez, was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1959 as the daughter of the artist couple, Alexander Hornung and Gisela Diez. I grew up in an illustrious world that consisted of all kinds of colours, exhibitions, travels, changes of place, people and forms of communication. The essence of art with all its different interpretations and forms of expression is deeply anchored in me. Only nowadays, when my mind and body have to be kept still due to illness, do I find the time, the muse, the spiritual maturity and the readiness to express my true self in art.
