1p of a bifolium, measuring 7.375" x 9", Laleham, England, dated December 29, 1826. Signed "T. Arnold" and addressed to his solicitor, William Tooke, Esq. The letter invites Tooke for a visit in the coming week

"Dear Sir,

My going to town is delayed till the end of next week, and then I am afraid that I shall be so much engaged during the single morning to which my stay will be limited, as to put it out of my Power to call on you. But I can assure you that it will give me great pleasure to see you here on any of the four first days of next week: there will be a Bed very much at your service, and we have two coaches which leave the Brown Bear Cellar & the Gloucester Coffee House, Piccadilly, every afternoon at 4 o'clock, which will put you down at my door a little before 7, and which will take you to London before eleven the next morning, should you be obliged to return so early.

Believe me to be,

Dear sir,

Very faithfully yours,

T Arnold"
