Finely carved in elliptical form with concave back and pierced around the rim for attachment, the face with distinctive Sepik River features including narrow slanted eyes, long nose pointing downward and slightly to the right above a diminutive pierced mouth; fine dark-brown patina with wear around edges and piercings indicative of significant age and use.
