Exceptional plate with precious objects décor - Satsuma - Ceramic - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

A fine ceramic plate, measuring 24. 8cm in diameter and weighing 995g, exceptionally finely painted in Satsuma enamels with still life of precious and scholarly objects, insects flying over a basket with bouquet of wild flowers. The painting is a study in refinement of technique of a very high quality. Marked to the underside with eight character maker´s mark in black enamel, no longer fully legible. Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Very minor wear commensurate with age. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
