Extraordinary Parade Plate - Louis XVI - Silver Metal - Around 1800

Extraordinary parade plate richly decorated with figures, putti, shells and vegetal elements. Made by applying a solid silver sheet completely embossed and chiselled by hand on a supporting plate made of metal. Excellent workmanship, hand crafted, beautiful, high-quality and elegant item. The workmanship suggests a Central European (Italy or Germany) manifacturing from 18th century, but the item could be even older. Dimensions: 37 x 31 cm Weight: 983 grams. In very good condition, metal has not been cleaned to preserve the flavor of time, cleaning the plate with a polish will return the silver to its original colour.
