A magnificent shell-shaped bowl resting on 3 feet, made by Mario Buccellati. Mario Buccellati is the greatest Italian jeweller and silversmith. He opened his first store in Milan in 1919 and was very much cherished by aristocrats and members of the high Italian society. Among his customers, there were royals, popes, entrepreneurs and movie stars. The Italian novelist and poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, who was one of his more prominent customers and friends, named him “The Prince of Goldsmiths. ” Buccellati is renowned all over the world for his masterpieces inspired by nature.
