Extremely rare form watch with chatelaine, gold/enamel/rock crystal, museum quality, Paris 1850
Ca. 14cm long, approx. 66g, 18K gold, two-coloured work, spherical watch case, rock crystal on both sides, key winding, cylinder movement, enamel dial, signed Philip Freres, unique chatelaine with 8 oval enamel cartouches with painting in fantastic quality, elaborate miniature paintings with doves, musical instruments and flowers, all paintings excellently preserved and not restored, including the original key which is enamelled on both sides, all other paintings are backed with mother-of-pearl, the watch is intact and in museum condition.
