Extremely rare gold/enamel pocket watch for the Ottoman market with quarter repeater, ca. 1820

Ca. Ø53mm, ca. 100g, 18K gold, back with wonderful painting, representation of blossoms and fruits on a green background, surrounded by a white enamel line, the whole case rim magnificently engine turned, typical Ottoman case decoration, case and movement with matching number No.1570, very fine and rare movement in manner of Breguet with cylinder escapement, temperature compensation and early shock absorber, unusual rare striking mechanism with only one hammer striking hours and quarters, released by the special repeater button in the pendant, which is pulled out and turned 90° and then pressed to release the repeater, Ottoman enamel dial, Breguet steel hands, in working order, enamel painting restored at the lower rim. Even though the dome of this rare watch is signed "Breguet", this signature was probably only intended to promote sales. There is no evidence that this watch is actually related to Breguet, even though the watch was made in the style of Breguet watches.
