Inscription: At the lower part signed in the printing plate: "Dessiné par J. B. Piranesi / Gravé par F. Piranesi L'an 1806". At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "Vue de links'Aspect du Temple d'Isis [...]".

Date: 1806

Description: The picture illustrates an ancient landscape of ruins, characterised by classical architecture and columns of the destroyed Temple of Isis in the middle of Pompeii. A central staircase leads to a raised platform; figures in contemporary clothing lend the scene a lively context.

Condition: Rather good condition. There is a full-page vertical crease in the centre. Pale discolouration in the margin and occasional pale foxing. Soiled along the upper edge of the sheet and damaged by tears in the centre.
