In poor condition, with "discarded" stamped across front pastedown and rear endpaper, holes punched in pages from front endpapers through page 40, fraying and losses to cloth on spine and edges, corners bumped and fraying, staining and scratches to boards, tears to cloth on spine, shelf wear, toning and discoloration throughout, writing in pencil on title page and below copyright, number 4314 stamped above copyright, page numbers circled in pencil throughout, words underlined and other pencil marks throughout, pages torn and missing corners throughout, pages 55-58 detached from binding (pages present), boards detaching and tears at pastedowns; later binding and boards.
