GPAnalysis: A 5.0 sold for $276 in 6/23.Crime Cram: Lowlife highlights from the crime careers of "Scarface" Al Capone, John Dillinger, "Lucky" Luciano, and Dutch Shultz. Cram-full of gunplay, bombings, pistol-whipping, mass murder, dope peddling, old-time tuff talk ("Why, you – nobody calls me CRUMB and gets away with it!"), etc.

The gangsters in this mag run wild for page after page, gleefully embracing every species of rascality without qualm until their inevitable downfall in the final panel of each story. Dr. Wertham considered the last-panel moralizing in crime comics to be disingenuous pandering, complaining that in a typical crime comic book there are "97 pictures of the criminal winning, and one for his violent end – a ratio of 97 parts of 'crime' to one of 'does not pay.'" – Dr. Fredric Wertham, "Comic Books: Blueprints for Delinquency," Reader's Digest, May 1954, p. 26.______________________________________________________________
