Ca.200-300 AD. A Roman glass unguentarium (known as the candlestick type) in pale green glass. The long tubular neck tapers to a folded-over wide disk rim above, and merging below into a bulbous body, standing on a flattened base with an inverted center. Fine condition, intact; 175x80mm; 6.895x 3.152 in; 73g; Provenance: Property of an established London gallery; acquired from a private estate collection formed in the 1970s.
