Ivory handle carved as the head of dog, possibly a greyhound or whippet, with inset glass eyes. Mouth open showing the dog's teeth and tongue. Silver collar engraved "J. Smith" and with floral and scroll designs. Indecipherable hallmarks. Slightly tapering figured wood shaft. Silver metal ferrule.
