There are at least two known examples of busts of Bolivar by De Weldon cast in bronze. The first, from 1948 has the following inscription â Simon Bolivar (1783-1830) Liberator of Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Panama and founder of Bolivia. Presented by the President of Venezuela to Bolivar, West Virginia.â A second, from 1961 is located in Baltimore in Bedford Square near St. Paul and North Charles Streets. h:24 w:23 d:11 in.
