FINE CONDITION COLT SECOND PRODUCTION TYPE 6 OPEN

TOP POCKET REVOLVER Cal. 22 Short. S# 83514. Bbl. 2 3/8" ejectorless. Matching numbers on bbl. assembly, butt & 2 piece walnut bird's head grips. Seven shot cyl. 2nd type non stylized rotating barrel key. Blued bbl. assembly & cyl. Silver finish visible on frame under grips. Left side of frame marked "22 CAL". 1 Piece low hammer & spur trigger retain traces of their original nitre blue. CONDITION: bbl. assembly & cyl retain 60% thinning original blue with scattered light dings & minor freckling. Frame finish has flaked away leaving only brass. Brass has acquired a mottled mustard patina. Grips are very good, retaining 90% original varnish with light high edge wear & a few scattered minor handling marks. Bore is generally bright with light frosting and very good rifling. Mechanically fine. (01-29840/BH). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
