FINE EAGLE HEAD POMMEL ENGLISH NAVAL DIRK.

Curved tapered diamond section double-edged blade with ricasso overlaid with gold florals decoration and "LONDON" on right side, opposite side with gilded panoply of arms. The s-shaped guard terminates in acorn quillons and features languettes with relief anchors on a stippled ground on the right side. Gilt brass eagle head pommel with mother of pearl grip scales. Gilt brass scabbard with repousse foliate and floral designs on both sides and two hanging rings. CONDITION: Blade shows some scuffing and scratches to high polish section. Some wear to gilt at ricasso. Hilt retains most of its original gilt finish. Bottom of right grip scale shows one tiny chip. Scabbard shows generous traces of gilt finish in protected areas.
