Cobalt blue ground, with hand painted figural and landscape scenes surrounding. With gilded foliate decorative accents, ormolu mounts to hinged lid and gilded interior. Scene painted on the lidbears illegible artist signature, with crossed L makers marks to the underside. 19th century
