A fine sterling silver and parcel gilt castle top card case Birmingham, 1844 makers Mary wheeler and James Cronin. The case is unusual in that the engraved floral surround is gilded to off set theengine turned design. The central motif is St Paul's Cathedral London. The back bears a charming inscription.
