FINE US MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD RIFLE

SERIAL NUMBER: 533889. BARREL 32 5/8". CALIBER 45-70. It features two barrel bands, nose cap, Buffington rear sight and ramrod bayonet. Lock is marked US SPRINGFIELD with eagle in center. Breech block is marked US Model 1884. Barrel is Armory proofed VP Eaglehead P. Numbers 80 and 47 are etched on the butt stock. CONDITION: Fine. Smooth metal with original finish turned plum brown. Legends are sharp. Light case colors are visible on lock, hammer and breech. Stock is nice with scattered impressions. Has sharp cartouche on left flat dated 1891. Stamped "D over 2 over 33" on butt stock comb. Action is crisp and the bore is clean. Leather sling attached. ANTIQUE GEB
