SERIAL NUMBER V54059 BARREL 4" CALIBER .38 SPECIAL MANUFACTURED WW2. Produced by Smith & Wesson as the M&P revolver and later named the "VICTORY MODEL" Standard commercial S&W marking on right side, finished with parkerized finish over secondary polish. Serial number prefixed with "V". Pana graph marked on left side "PROPERTY U.S. PROPERTY. Top strap marked U.S. NAVY. Smooth 2 piece walnut grips and butt equipped with lanyard swivel. These revolvers were issued to pilots, Naval security forces and landing parties and continued use well into the Vietnam era. CONDITION. Exceptionally fine with little indication of use. Bore and chambers are excellent. Action operates properly. C&R
