The base, decorated in the Rocaille style, supports the white enamelled dial, which displays the hours in Roman numerals and the five-minute intervals in Arabic numerals, and is partially signed. In the upper section, a bronze group depicting a scene of a woman dressing, accompanied by putti, modelled on a design by Jules Salmson (1823–1902). The pedestal bears the signature: Jles Salmson.Louis XV style, second half of the 19th century. Height: 52 cm – Width: 63 cm – Depth: 26 cm.
