Persian manuscript on paper, the Timurid - Turcoman folios in nasta'liq script, including sections of the story of Garsivaz, Bizhan, and Afrashiab, illuminated in opaque pigments with falconers before an enthroned king in a garden, and the courtly love scene of Faranguis and Siavash, the martyrdom of Siavash, and the beheading of Houman by Bizhan at the battle of the Twelve Rukhs, some illustrations unfinished, the preparatory drawing evident underneath, mounted, framed and glazed, 21.5cm x 10.5cm, 35cm x 24.5cm including frame.
