FIVE RETICULATED WHITE-GLAZED VESSELS, LATE MING-QING DYNASTY
The first, a rectangular brush pot, is carved on three sides with walled garden scenes and on one side with lotus; the second, a cylindrical brush pot, is molded and carved on the sides with a continuous garden scene with 'The Three Friends of Winter', prunus, pine, and bamboo; the third, a brush pot, is molded on the exterior with a Buddhist lion and its cubs playing with brocade balls amidst clouds; the fourth, a small box and cover, is molded in the form of a recumbent Buddhist lion; the fifth, a bowl, is reticulated on the sides with Chinese characters, fu, lu, shou, qian and qiu within medallions on a cash-motif ground.
