\Artist: F. J. Goosen (1943)
Technique: olieverf op linnen\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 47. 5_6_67_cm
Beautiful work by F. J. Goosen, in excellent condition. Length 67 cm. Height is 47. 5 cm. Thickness of the wooden frame is 6 cm. Frits J. Goosen (13th December 1943, Hilversum) is one of the leading Impressionist painters of our time. He already drew and painted at a young age and was regularly allowed a look in the studio of the painter Stephen Kip who lived nearby. An education in that direction was unthinkable, due to his financial situation at home. Painting was something Frits Goosen taught himself over the course of several years: he is an autodidact. After his school time, he fulfilled his military service as a signaller in the Navy. Then F. J. Goosen was employed at the barge transport company O. Hansen & Zn. in Amsterdam where he worked for 11 years. Drawing and painting remained his great passion and in 1976 he ventured the step of becoming a professional painter. In addition to landscapes, harbour and city views, ship portraits are a large part of Frits Goosen's oeuvre. The parcel will be thoroughly packaged and shipped with insurance.
