Note: based in her home country of Scotland, Lillias Blackie has become known world-wide for her artworks. Her landscapes are rich in texture and light, with highly saturated colours and contrasts providing dramatic effects and atmosphere. Peace, tranquility, tension and turmoil are all present in her works, with different moods expressed through each new work. Lillias is known for floral artworks and landscapes – recently, she has been focused on her seascapes, inspired by memories of the coast from her childhood. Lillias has exhibited her artwork in Edinburgh, Dunkeld, and Pitlochry, in various locations in England, as well as Germany and Holland. She has also supplied artworks to HRH The Princess Royal (Princess Anne).
