Forbidden Planet is one of the most cherished sci-fi classic films of all time. It is based on Shakespeare's The Tempest. The film was directed by Fred M. Wilcox, and stars Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis and Leslie Nielsen. It is also notable for introducing cinema goers to Robby the Robot, one of the most famous robots ever to appear on the silver screen. This wonderful poster, by Roger Soubie, was designed for the French advertising campaign of this classic 1956 sci-fi film. Exceptionally rare French poster that does not surface very often.
