FOSSIL: AN EXTINCT ‘KEICHOUSAURUS’ MARINE REPTILE BABY SPECIMEN, TRIASSIC (240 MILLION YEARS OLD)Collected in the Guizhou Province of China. The unusually small specimen is that of a baby / juvenile. Slightly curved, the specimen measures approximately 60mm around the curve. In it’s original matrix slab measuring 74mm long by 50mm wide. Displayed and mounted in a bespoke oak case.Keichousaurus is a genus of marine reptile in the pachypleurosaur family and went extinct at the close of the Triassic in the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event.
