Dim. 37 x 50 cm. Signature and long dedication in black ink by the sculptor, professor and politician Monteverde, dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Margherita of Savoy, in the year 1879. "Sieure Seguier Roma" appears as signing this photo, written in red. The marble statue is by Monteverde, made for the funerary monument of Carlo Sada (1809-1873). An engraving of this leg was made in L'Illustrazione Italiana, No 44, November 4, 1877. We believe this to be a unique photo of this monument and this volumetry. It was common for great sculptors to offer photos of their works to great personages. Good condition.

Signature et longue dédicace à l’encre noire du sculpteur, professeur et homme politique Monteverde, dédiée à Sa Majesté la reine Marguerite de Savoie, en l’an 1879. « Sieure Seguier Roma » apparaît comme signataire de cette photo, écrit en rouge. La statue en marbre est de Monteverde, réalisée pour le monument funéraire de Carlo Sada (1809-1873). Une gravure de cette patte a été réalisée dans L'Illustrazione Italiana, n° 44, 4 novembre 1877. Nous pensons qu’il s’agit d’une photo unique de ce monument et de cette volumétrie. Il était courant que les grands sculpteurs offrent des photos de leurs œuvres à de grands personnages. Bon état.
