LINEWOOD
Like suspended monoliths. They emerge and materialize on the wooden surface.
The characteristic grains present on the surface of the wooden panels restrict the evolution of the generated shapes and impose limited changes to the wooden structure, binding and imprinting the design with pre-established structural solutions from the natural texture on the material.
The compositional rigidity of the wooden forms, suspended monoliths, contrasts with the evident chromatism of the lines which highlight the stratifications of the fibres, outlining and highlighting their profile against the background. The marked presence of functional graphic symbols, referring to the typographical language of the breakdown of four-colour printing colours, engraved on the wooden surface, generates and modifies the static nature of the suspended volumes and gives the works a rational and suggestive code made up of figures, letters, symbols and colors.

The original and unique work “Linewood” is part of a series of works with similar thematic sequences, color variations and narrative unity. This series of works was created on poplar plywood panels colored "by hand". The chromatic effects deliberately "visible" on the external layer of the works, the multiple chromatic variations obtained with acrylic colours, make the proposed works unique and original. The final surface has been treated with water-based paints for infinite durability.
