LA TAUROMAQUIA (DELTEIL 224-256; HARRIS 204-236)

The complete set, comprising 33 etchings with burnished aquatint and lavis, drypoint and engraving, 1816, good impressions from the second edition of 1855, made in the Calcografía for the Real Academia, on thick wove papers, with grey paper covers (as issued), bound in gilt tooled maroon leather boards, marbled endpapers
each sheet: approx. 320 by 435mm 12⅝ by 17¼in
overall: 330 by 450mm 13 by 17¾in

Condition Report:
The full sheets, the images mostly in good condition, the lower sheet edge of the title plate made up (approx. 2cm. wide), the lower right corner of the sheet of Plate 1 made up, several sheets with mostly short, skilfully repaired tears in the margins, the title pages with water-staining in places, a few sheets with one or two repaired, partially split plate marks, a few sheets with some pale foxing in the margins, other minor defects.
