Overall in very good condition. When seen in person, this rare cachepot model presents with slightly less saturated hues than pictured in the catalogue photography. Its porous and complex clay body presents with surface irregularities that are inherent to production and is enriched with playful figurative details and carvings. The cachepot is partially covered on the inside and on part of the tail with a light gray layer of glaze. The recessed area between the base and the bird’s body with partially visible traces of glue, which is stable and not visually distracting. A one-of-a-kind object by the artist in original and well-preserved condition.
