Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. This Singe offered en suite with the following lot presents with an elegant and dynamic sculptural presence when viewed in person. The bronze surface display a beautifully variegated patina ranging from pine green to emerald green. Inherent in the execution, the bronze displays with subtle textural patterns throughout the surface evoking the monkey’s fur. The bronze surface with minor surface scratches and some occasional light scuffing throughout, not visually distracting, and with some occasional instances of very minor discoloration to the patina concentrated to the shoulders, back and tail. An important sculpture by François-Xavier Lalanne suitable for display both indoors or outdoors.
