FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT-DESIGNED CARPET: 9’1" X 11’11"
Circa 1990
By Heinz & Co. after the original designed for Wright's Avery Coonley House in Riverside, Illinois, circa 1908. Grid-like design of brown, gray, muted olive green and dark gold geometric shapes on an ivory and beige field. Hand-woven wool.

Provenance:
The Collection of Thomas A. Heinz.
A private New England collection.

Reference:
Frank Lloyd Wright Field Guide by Thomas A. Heinz, p. 319.

Notes:
Thomas A. Heinz is considered the leading scholar on visionary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, notably devoting attention to the study of Wright's furniture and interiors. In the 1970s Heinz began creating faithful reproductions of Wright’s designs using the original drawings and plans, first through his own company, Heinz & Co., and then eventually through Bexley Heath Ltd.
Condition Report: Multiple small drip stains scattered through one quadrant near a corner. A few drips elsewhere as well. Would probably benefit from a general cleaning. Evidence of minor cat claw and moth damage seen from back side. The absence of a condition report does not imply an object is free of defects. All items may have normal signs of age and wear commensurate with their age; these issues will likely not be mentioned in the condition report. Please contact Eldred's before the auction with any condition questions. Questions about condition will not be answered after purchase. Condition reports are provided as a courtesy, and we are not responsible for any errors or omissions. Important note on frames: Frames are not guaranteed to be in the same condition as they are in the item photograph. Due to handling and shipping, many frames, especially antique ones, are prone to losses. If you have questions about the condition of a frame, please contact us prior to the auction.
