The painting can certainly be traced back to the religious production of Frans Francken the Younger and his brilliant and active atelier, whose predilection for the use of copper support is known. As we can appreciate in our painting, this support enhanced the miniaturistic refinement of the drawing and the coloristic enamel, characteristics of that production within which it is easy to identify numerous and stringent compositional comparisons.
