FREE-BLOWN WHALE OIL SPARKING HAND LAMP, colorless, compressed conical font with slight saucer-form shoulder and applied solid handle, raised on a drawn foot with rough pontil mark. Fitted with a period tin and cork single-tube drop-in burner. United States. 1820-1840.

Condition: Lamp undamaged; burner with losses to the cork. Top of the font having a minor manufacturing imperfection, as made.

Size: 2 7/8" H to top of opening, 2 7/8" DOA font, 2 1/4" D foot.
