FRENCH 0.950 SILVER-MOUNTED ENGRAVED GLASS FOUR-PIECE BOTTLE SET IN ORIGINAL LEATHER CASE, colorless glass, each rectangular bottle with engraved foliate garland and bowknot design, topped by original glass stopper with cut edges, featuring 0.950 silver mounted collar and cap having laurel wreath pattern edges and engraved "A[C?]" monogram, housed in original leather case with strap handle, divided interior, and two brass locks. Caps and collars each impressed with "J [lighthouse] M" maker's mark for Jules Marie of Paris (active 1889-1912) and a French Minerva hallmark for 0.950 silver fineness, locks of case with "P.B / DEPOSE" marks. Total weight of caps: 2.695 ozt. Late 19th/early 20th century. Bottles 5 1/2" HOA; case 6 1/4" x 6" x 4 5/8" OA.

Property of a Virginia gentleman.
Condition Report: Very good overall condition, bottles having one or a few minute flakes along edges, otherwise undamaged; one bottle with rim having a likely as-made sliver chip that has been polished; one stopper with a flake to top edge and another frozen; silver having minor wear, surface scratches, and one or a few nicks; case with some wear and cracks/hairlines along edges of lid, handle with wear and age cracks.
