FRENCH BISCUIT PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK

19th c. French Ormolu Mounted Bisque Porcelain Figural Portico Clock, probably by Samson, enamel face marked 'Blanchard', with 8-day time and strike movement, face and sunburst decorated pendulum with key, movement marked '7030', clock face is suspended between four columns and flanked by two standing Classical female figures, platform above is topped with five urns, gilded bronze mounts, backside is signed "Mongenot" and incised with conjoined Ls with "B" above and "A" below, 18 3/4" high, 15" x 5 3/4". Hairline cracks to dial, losses and chips to urns, floral garlands and fingers, repaired break to one urn.
