FRENCH CAST IRON TRADE STIMULATOR & MATCH DISPENSER
This is an early French cast iron bar top trade stimulator and match dispenser. The device consists of a ship's wheel with an internal compartment and either a ball bearing or small marble. This particular example is in the form of a sailor with a match dispenser in the front. All original brass ship's wheel and internal marble. These trade stimulators came in many forms, with this being one unusual example. CONDITION: The stimulator shows no breaks, cracks or repairs. The original ship's wheel trade stimulator has a graphic of a young man making a toast with his beer. Condition: (Very Good) Dimensions: 13" x 6" x 5"
