FRENCH DF37 HAND GRENADE
FRENCH DF37 HAND GRENADE
The French DF37, standing 4 in. tall, known by its nickname ‘Little Brown Jug' was a French fragmentation defensive hand grenade. The grenade was put into service in 1937 together with the OF 37 offensive hand grenade and was typically used with the Mle 1935 fuse. This example retains much of its original brown and red coloring that resulted in its nickname. The grenade has been rendered inert, shows expected oxidation and wear overall, else very good.
